issue 01-vorfreude
this year, we have turned towards the literary and the artistic more so than any other period. the isolation and unpredictable times put us through self-reflection. each one of us must have gone through extended periods of solitude and anticipation- for the retrieval of normalcy, better days, and the good times. the tendency to look forward to things is nothing unusual; every human yearns and longs for the things they don't have at the moment.
and this inaugural issue of chasing shadows looks at the
canvas of vorfreude- joyful anticipation.
issue 02-home
The theme of belonging has been intricately woven throughout in this journal of art, prose, and poetry. Every page is a reflection on the theme in its utmost calibre- homesickness, an ode to a city, shelter, etc. What's more, this issue reflects that home can be a person too.
This issue looks at the fluid idea of "home" shared by various contributors from different parts of the world. The objective is to let the reader find relatability in this journal's content and question what or who exactly is home.
